Mr Chou was extremely reassuring from the very first moment I met him. He filled me with absolute confidence that he was able to help my chronic pain, which he did. He explained everything in terms one could understand and totally exceeded my expectations. I consider him to be a brilliant surgeon and a wonderful approachable person

My initial consultation with Mr Chou was to consider the possibility of a hip replacement due to severe osteoarthritis. He was very attentive to my issues regarding this condition and also ensured that I understood the risks involved in the procedure. It is now nearly two months since my successful hip operation and I am continuing to make a good recovery. I was extremely impressed with the level of care I received from Mr Chou and the whole team at The Spire hospital during my stay there. From the moment I arrived at the hospital, I was warmly welcomed by the reception staff and nurses. Mr Chou and the anaesthetist were reassuring with an explanation of the procedure and the package of pain relief available post operation. The nursing staff and physiotherapists who helped me recover were excellent. Their professionalism and kindness really helped me through the first couple of days after the operation. The operation itself has proved to be a great success for me personally, with no complications for which I must extend my gratitude to Mr Chou and the theatre team.

Mr Chou, is a wonderful caring compassionate surgeon. From the moment I first met him at my consultation with him, I felt at great ease, he explained simply and truthfully what his thoughts where on the way forward for my hip replacement. Which he performed on the 7th July 2021. I had already had my left hip replaced 5 years earlier by a surgeon called Mr Nolan at Spire Norwich, with amazing results! Mr Chou, was just as amazing !! He also lengthened my right leg, so it matched the length of my left leg, so I no longer have to wear a raise in my right shoe. He does is work with such knowledge and compassion. If you are luckier enough to have Mr Chou as your surgeon, ( in any field of surgery he performs, ) then rest assured, you could not be in more safer, caring, skillful hands

For over a year I'd struggled to get anywhere with the NHS and kept getting told the pain was in my head. Mr Chou was wonderful from the minute I first met him. He was able to tell me exactly what was wrong with my hip after a simple x-ray and he explained all my options in great detail without being 'too medical' so easy for me to understand. My operation was hugely successful and I feel like a completely different person, walking without any pain is life changing. Mr Chou and his secretary responded to any email query I had before and after very quickly, regardless if my query was daft! I cannot recommend Mr Chou enough, he's truly brilliant.
